Who We Help

CFAB seeks to protect, defend and support any child, family or individual who faces a social, legal or personal problem as a consequence of global movement.

The current work falls into six main areas in which CFAB holds specialist knowledge and expertise. We help:

• Children separated from both parents, such as Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Minors, Trafficked Children and Privately Fostered Children.

• Children separated from one parent through divorce, separation or abduction

• Children at risk of harm and children in public care

• Vulnerable Adults such as adults who have been trafficked, those with mental health problems, prisoners and the elderly.

• Prospective adoptive parents, birth parents and potential adoptees (Pre-adoption)

Our overall aims are to re-unite children with their families, provided this is in their best interests; assist children and adults in re-establishing and maintaining contact with parents and extended family members; ensure people have access to knowledge about their family, origin, cultural and religious background and to keep children safe and protected when they move across borders.
